Happy Monday to all of you!

I'm back at my studio today after a relaxing lazy weekend. What did I get up to? Well, I made ice cream (3 flavors... but I will tell you about that later), I also baked meringues and filled them with some the lemon curd I still had in the fridge, I watched Marmaduke with my kids, took a break from making lunch on Sunday so we ordered sushi, and played with my new Ipad... brilliant and addictive!

Today I tried the lemon meringue cupcakes.
First I made the cupcakes, then the lemon curd... and then the swiss meringue. I cannot begin to tell you how delicious they are!!!!
Tomorrow's the turn for lemon ice cream.

I can't find an easier way to do it... so I pin the yarn to my pants and then make the braids.

{note to self: definitely need to find a safer way to do it}

organic pima cotton

For my Spring-Summer 2011 collection I worked on a line made 100% with organic pima cotton. Sweaters, Layette Sets, booties, Hats & Blankets.

It comes in three natural colors and has a great hand + it washes very well + it is organic!!!

On Saturday morning I baked these buttermilk cupcakes for a birthday party Daniela was going. later that day. I decorated them with buttercream icing in a lilac shade Daniela chose.
She wanted cupcakes that looked like roses... lilac roses.

strawberry ice cream & kiwi sorbet

To wrap up the week I made something sweet, tart and cold today... a mix of strawberries and raspberries for the ice cream. Fresh kiwi for the sorbet. Great served together!
