shortbread

{A classic favorite}
The texture when baked in the altitude of Bolivia is completely different than when I baked these cookies at sea level. Here they turn out flaky and lighter, yummy.

I made this yesterday afternoon for my kids snack with ingredients I keep all the time: butter, flour, sugar and salt. I think these are the easiest cookies to make. My sister tells me she is now making shortbread with rose water. Must try that!
