Yes, yes we got figs! Figs don't last long in my house because we usually eat them as soon as we bring them from the market. Last Sunday I saved some to make a tart in the only baking pan I have at the moment {movers have not come yet with our stuff from Nairobi...}. I had to adjust the recipe a little to fit my pan but it turned out delicious.
It is just pâte sucrée {sweet pastry crust} filled with fresh figs. Simple ingredients for a complex taste.
These are the first figs of the season. The best is yet to come.
